One of the world’s greatest ballerinas, Wendy Whelan joined the New York City Ballet in 1984 and became its Principal Dancer in 1991. Beloved throughout the dance world, Whelan is known for performing with a unique grace and intensity. The film follows Whelan as she approaches retirement, capturing the dancer as she tackles her body’s limitations and adapts to her new role in the dance community.
