Introduction to Sumi-e/Chinese Brush Painting Workshop

The instructor, Renee Vickery, has her work hung on walls in Taiwan, the UK, Singapore and the United States.  Workshop will provide an explanation of special equipment used, demonstration and instruction.  Student will learn how to apply pigment to Chinese paper and make calligraphy characters.  Participants will leave with a finished painting of a traditional Chinese motif.  Registration fee of $50 includes all materials and is due by May 26, 2017.  Workshop will be held on Saturday June 10 from 1 to 4 pm at Edisto Discovery Park, Columbia SC.  Class must have a minimum of 6 and cannot have more than 14 in class.  Contact us for information.
