Galactic Exploration

Activities include:

• Create A Solar System Mobile – Bio Lab (10 a.m., 11 a.m., noon, 2 p.m., 3 p.m.) Make your own mobile symbolizing our solar system and learn about the planets you might see during the eclipse.

• Design an Eclipse Model – Tinker Tech (10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m.) Learn what happens during an eclipse by building your own model.

• Solar Eclipse Show – In Front of EDDIE (10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m.) – How does an eclipse happen? Why is it such a big deal? What should we expect to see? Answers these questions and more as we explore the Solar Eclipse.

• Phases of the Moon Cookies – The Cooking Lab (10 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 11 a.m., 11:30 a.m. *Sign-up at the Front Desk for one of the limited spots.) Come frost your own cookie to learn about the phases of the moon.

• Marshmallow Constellation Art – Aha! Factory (9:15 a.m.– 4:45 p.m.) Study the constellations you may see during the eclipse, then design your own starry sky out of marshmallows and toothpicks.

• Home Safe Home – World of Work (12:15 p.m., 12:45 p.m., 1:45 p.m., 2:15 p.m., 2:45 p.m., 3:15 p.m.) This entertaining 4-D multimedia experience teaches families to be aware of fire prevention methods and how to react in home emergency situations.
